• State root composition is version 9. Confidential accounts and nonces are depth-256 sparse Merkle trees. Historical replay across this rotation is unsupported; a node syncs from a backup taken after it. Precompile 0007 stays disabled.
• A confidential payment proves v - 1, so a zero-value note is rejected and a remaining balance of 0 stays valid. validBefore may be at most 360 seconds past the block timestamp. Facilitator verify checks the signature, the window, and the nonce before the range proofs. Precompile 0007 stays disabled.

• Confidential amounts: precompile 0007 is registered disabled, state root version 8, and inbound notes stay out of the spendable balance until mix chain.confidential_claim folds a recipient-signed claim.
• x402 settle grants only on success true. A confirming call with a missing or wrong token is settlement_recorded. A later call on an already-confirmed row is already_settled. Neither grants. A pending opening stays in flight until valid_before plus 180 seconds. A receipt-less submitted settlement fails only after that same margin. A failed row with a status-1 receipt can still be granted. A status-1 transfer to a disabled 0007 is not a payment.
• mix chain.confidential_grant reprints the success JSON for a status-1 settlement. A confidential row is refused until its opening is delivered. GET /api/v2/health reports state_root_version.
